A Binghamton man has been charged with seven felony counts after investigators found drugs and more than $10,500 in cash in a Chenango Street apartment.

Authorities say 43-year-old Michael Palmer was arrested Tuesday as police executed a search warrant.

According to the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force, the suspected drug sale proceeds and 35 grams of fentanyl were seized in the raid at 66 Chenango Street. Drug packaging materials also were confiscated.

Palmer was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

Investigators say Palmer was arraigned Wednesday in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail.
