The key to Binghamton University's turn around in men's basketball may well be in the form of a young man who has not played a minute for Tommy Dempsey's team. J.C.Show (looks like show but is pronounced showw as in how) has the potential to be the best overall men's basketball player the school has seen.  That is saying a lot in light of the dominating play and remarkable athleticism of Jordan Reed and the smothering defensive post play of Nick Billings.

Show is capable of "doing it all". His credentials speak volumes on his potential even before he dresses for his first game as a Bearcat.  He is a three-time all-state guard in Pa.(including first-team honors twice) while starring for Abington Heights in Scranton.  He was named the state's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2014. He knocked in 42 points against Scranton Prep as a senior.  Need more ?  How about being named "Mr. Basketball" in the state of Pa. as a senior ?  Or a two-time all-state third team football player who was recruited to play at Penn State. Then on to Bucknell where he played in all 34 games as a freshman where he scored 23 points against Siena and 20 points against American.  He also shot 37 percent from three-point range a boost the Bearcats desperately need.

A coaching change and a nagging foot injury had J.C. looking for a change and that change came in the form of Tommy Dempsey and the Binghamton Bearcats.  He transferred and under NCAA rules sat out last season.  He has undergone several procedures during the past year in an effort to relieve plantar fasciitis which is described as a continual or stabbing pain in the bottom of his foot which hampered him throughout his freshman campaign.

The success of those procedures is key to the success of Binghamton's upcoming season.  The Bearcats have yet to see him on their court and performing at full power. The potential is there. A healthy J.C. Show could be the missing link in the Bearcats hopes to legitimately contend for an America East title. "Show-Time" is coming to the Events Center and not a minute too soon for the Bearcats and their fans.
