Binghamton police say a Vestal woman was injured when she was hit by a car while walking in a downtown parking ramp.

The incident happened about 8:30 a.m. November 19 on the second level of the city-owned State Street garage.

Authorities say the woman who was struck was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment for what were reported to be minor injuries.

Police say the woman who was the driver of the car received a ticket for failure to yield to a pedestrian.

Access to the upper levels of the parking ramp was blocked for a short time for the police investigation.
