Tonight the Binghamton Rumble Ponies begin a home series against the Double-A prospects from the New York Yankees when the Trenton Thunder comes to town. The two teams meets at NYSEG Stadium at 6:35 (air at 6:20 P.M.) on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  The series continues through Sunday afternoon.

Binghamton is coming off a tough 2-1 loss to Portland on Wednesday afternoon. Coming into tonight's action the Rumble Ponies are 45-50 and in fourth place in the Eastern Division.  Trenton is 52-43 and in second place in the Eastern Division.
Ricky Knapp gets the start for Binghamton.  He is 0-1 with an ERA of 4.00.  On the hill for the Thunder is Ryan Bollinger who is 4-3 with a 5.50 ERA.

In the last meeting between the two teams at NYSEG Stadium at the end of June the teams split a four-game series.  Binghamton's Levi Michael leads the Eastern League with 98 hits.  He is batting .299 and leads the Rumbler Ponies in average, home runs with ten and doubles with 23.
