Mets Spring Breakout Roster: 11 Rumble Ponies Prospects To Watch
Are you ready for baseball season? Well, we are, too! We are fortunate to have a professional Double-A baseball team here in our hometown with the New York Mets Rumble Ponies.
Spring training and games are already in progress for the Mets organization at their Clover Park Spring Training home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Current and future Rumble Ponies prospects are preparing for another exciting season in Binghamton.
According to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Major League Baseball announced on March 7th, that eleven players from the 2023 Binghamton Rumble Ponies will be on the 2024 New York Mets Spring Breakout roster.
The top prospects will play the Washington Nationals top prospects on Friday, March 15th at at Clover Park. The Rumble Ponies note that the roster will include shortstop/outfielder, Jett Williams, outfielder Drew Gilbert, and shortstop/2nd baseman Luisangel Acuña.

You will probably remember those three who were a part of the 2023 Binghamton Rumble Ponies run to the Eastern League Championship Series. These players are also ranked as part of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects in all of baseball (Williams #45, Gilbert #53, Acuna #66).
The Rumble Ponies also note that the roster includes catcher Kevin Parada (#9), right-hand pitchers Blade Tidwell (#10), Dom Hamel (#14), Tyler Stuart (#18), Paul Gervase and Wilkin Ramos, along with left-hand pitcher Daniel Juarez and outfielder Rhylan Thomas (#30.) Thomas was named the Mets Gold Glove Outfielder as part of the 2023 organizational awards.

The Rumble Ponies open the 2024 season at Mirabito Stadium against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A Affiliate) on Friday, April 5 at 6:35 p.m. Pregame show begins on WNBF at 6:20 p.m. with Jacob Wilkins back as the Rumble Ponies play-by-play announcer.
