The Food Bank of the Southern Tier is inviting the public to participate in their Selfless Elf challenge now through December 25th

The pandemic that hit last March has shutdown many worthwhile events that were planned to help our community.

The Food Bank of the Southern Tier along with Jingles, the Ultimate Selfless Elf are putting out a list of fun and challenging activities to spread the holiday spirit, now through December 25th

According to a press release from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, the Selfless Elf Advent Calendar is available for free and contains something fun and challenging for each day through Christmas.

Speaking on WNBF’s First News Binghamton, Katherine Strawser, Community Engagement Manager  said “We know this year has been difficult for so many people, from families transitioning to working at home and taking care of their children from home” Strawser said the struggles have been real and stressful for so many”

When people sign up to for the Selfless Elf Advent Calendar, they will also receive an e mail each day to remind them of that day’s activity.

The Food Bank of the Southern Tier works with over 160 food pantries in six counties including Broome and Tioga, and includes meal programs and the backpack Program along with the Mobile Foo Pantry program.
