The Southern Tier Tractor Club is once again assisting local food banks with their annual potato harvest, and volunteers are needed this Saturday on route 26 in west corners.

Our community is filled with organizations and individuals who graciously help those in need, and each year the members of the Southern Tier Tractor Club, along with several volunteers, harvest their crop of potatoes and donate them to local food banks.

This Saturday September 12th at 9am, volunteers will help load the potatoes that are being dug up in their gardens along route 26  (across from the Church of Nazarene) and load them into the food bank trucks for distribution to families and individuals in our community.

The Southern Tier Tractor Club is asking anyone who can spare a few hours to help assist in this year’s potato harvesting, to come and join them, parking is available in the Church of Nazarene lot on rt 26.

Since 2008, the Southern Tier Tractor Club have harvested and donated over 172 tons of potatoes for our local food banks through the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
