$7.4-million in funding is going to bomb squads, hazardous materials teams, explosive detection canine teams and cyber security around New York State.

12 awards are being made to bomb squads to equip and train the units.  The Village of Endicott Bomb Squad is getting $100,000.

108-thousand dollars is going to Hazardous Materials teams in the Broome/ Delaware/ Chenango/ Otsego County region to be used to maintain essential equipment and conduct training.

27 awards are going to the Explosive Detection Canine Team program to help enhance their capabilities with the City of Binghamton’s unit getting $50,000.

And Cortland County is getting $50,000 to help their ability to detect, respond and recover from cyber incidents under the Cyber Security Grant Program.
