Bearcats Bite Great Danes

The Binghamton Bearcats got off to a good start in the America East Baseball Championship Tournament today (Thursday) with a 6-3  win over the Albany Great Danes.  America East Pitcher of the Year Mike Bunal fired up eight scoreless innings and struck out nine Great Danes to key the win. He departed after eight innings of work with Binghamton ahead 6-0.

With the win the Bearcats advance in the winner's bracket to a noon game tomorrow (Friday) against the winner of the Hartford versus Stony Brook game. The tournament winner receives an automatic NCAA bid.
