It comes down to today...the championship on the line for Binghamton and Stony Brook and with it the dream of an automatic NCAA Baseball Tournament bid.  The Bearcats have to win the first game today to send it to a second game.  In the double elimination format the Seawolves are unbeaten.  The Bearcats have one loss.  Stony Brook defeated BU 5-4 yesterday to advance to the championship round. Play gets underway at 1:00 P.M. at the Bearcats Baseball Complex. If a second game is needed it will be played immediately after the conclusion of game one.

The Bearcats stayed alive with a 10-5 win over the Hartford Hawks on Friday night.  The loss eliminated Hartford.  In that game Binghamton jumped out to a 7-2 lead after three innings.  The Bearcats outfield provided the bulk of the offense.  Center fielder Shane Marshall blasted a solo home run, left fielder Daniel Franchi went 3-5 and right fielder Anthony Meduri was 4-4 at the plate.

The Seawolves are the top seed in the tournament after capturing the regular season title.  To go along with Friday's win over the Bearcats the Seawolves won two out of three regular season meetings between the two teams.  Binghamton's only win was a 5-0 gem from ace Ben Anderson.
