The Binghamton Bearcats will host the America East Baseball Championship Tournament this Wednesday May 22 through Saturday, May 25 at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Play gets underway at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday with 4th seed UMass Lowell meeting number 5 seed Maine.

The host Bearcats enter the tournament as the third seed and will face the number 6 seed Hartford Hawks in the second game on Wednesday scheduled for a 2:30 first pitch.  The third game of opening day pits the loser of the first game against the loser of the second game with a 6:00 P.M. start.

Binghamton University hosts the conference tournament for the first time in nine years which was the first time the tournament was held at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  The Bearcats finished the regular season with an overall record of 23-22 and an America East record of 12-9.  The Bearcats have won a total of 10 America East regular season and tournament championships in the last 13 seasons.  Binghamton has won the America East Baseball Tournament Championship four times...in 2009, 2013, 2014 and 2016.

The double elimination tournament runs through Saturday with one or potentially two games on that day's schedule.  Stony Brook is the top seed with Albany second followed by the Bearcats, UMass Lowell, Maine and Hartford.
