The Stony Brook Seawolves defeated the Binghamton Bearcats 7-5 to capture the America East Baseball Championship Tournament crown and receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  The Seawolves will learn where they go and when they play on Monday when the NCAA playoff bids and seedings are announced.

With Binghamton ahead 5-3 in the fourth inning the Seawolves ripped back to back home rums to tie the game.  Shane Marshall had a tremendous tournament and had three hits including a home run to key the Bearcats.  Marshall and pitchers Nick Gallagher and Ben Anderson were named to the All-Tournament team.

The Bearcats finish their season at 26-24 while Stony Brook moves to 31-21.  The Seawolves look ahead and with Saturday's win move to 31- 24.  The Seawoves had edged Binghamton 5-4 earlier in the tournament.
