The Binghamton Mets open a five-game series in Portland, Maine tonight as they face the Sea Dogs.  The B-Mets have lost five in a row and were swept by the Reading Fightin Phils in three straight games to start the week. Coming into tonight's game the B-Mets are 14-16 while the Sea Dogs are 10-23.

If Binghamton is to break its losing streak Portland is the place to do it. Binghamton has won five of six games against Portland so far this season.  The B-Mets have lost just once at Portland's Hadlock Field in the past two seasons.

Robert Gsellman is on the mound for the B-Mets tonight. Keith Couch has the start for Portland.  Gsellman is off to a fine start posting a 1.77 ERA which is the fourth-lowest in the Eastern League.

The two teams play a doubleheader on Friday (air at 4:45 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  They follow the twinbill with single games on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 1:05 PM.
