The Binghamton Mets return to NYSEG Stadium tonight to face the Portland Sea Dogs at 6:35 PM. Bingamton is happy to return home after last night's smack down in Reading against the Fightin Phils. Reading rolled to an 11-3 victory at FirstEnergy Stadium. Mickey Jannis falls to 3-10 after giving up four runs in just three innings of work. Jayce Boyd and Phillip Evans each had a pair of hits for the B-Mets.
Tonight, Tyler Pill gets the start for Binghamton. His record is 8-8 with an ERA of 3.88. He has 24 wins as a B-Met which is the most in franchise history. Jalen Beeks will start for Portland. He is 1-2 with an ERA of 5.22.
Portland relief ace Murphy Smith is 3-4 with an ERA of 1.64 in 31 games with the Sea Dogs. Smith is a gruaduate of Binghamton University where he was a standout for coach Tim Sinicki.
