The New York Public High School Athletic Association (NYPHSAA) is holding its semi-final and championship rounds in boys basketball from Friday through Sunday, March 17 - 19 in Binghamton at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena. Twenty of the top scholastic boys basketball teams in New York State will participate.  This marks the first time the boys basketball event will be held in Binghamton.  The state has held the tournament in Glens Falls for the past 36 years.

The combined efforts of a number of elected officials, the Broome County Chamber of Commerce, Section 4 Athletics and management at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena were able to make a presentation powerful enough to move the tournament to Binghamton.

Play begins with semi-final rounds in Class D, Class C and Class B on Friday, March 17. Class D competition begins at 10 AM on Friday. Class C at 1:45 and Class B at 530 PM. Winners advance to the Championship Round on Saturday.

The Class A and AA  Semifinals are set for Saturday followed by Finals in Class D, C and B.    Play concludes on Sunday with the Class A Final at Noon followed by the Class AA Final at 2:00 PM.
