The Springfield Thunderbirds shut out the Binghamton Senators at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Saturday night 4-0. The Thunderbirds rode the stellar play of goaltender Reto Berra to up their record to 7-4-1 and good for 15 points.  Berra made 31 saves and earned his third shutout of the season.

The Thunderbirds scored two goals in the opening period and tacked on one each in the second and third periods to earn the win. Matt O'Connor took the loss in goal for the B-Sens.

With the loss versus Springfield Binghamton's record falls to 3-7-1.  Coming up next on the home schedule is a 7:05 PM start on Tuesday night when Binghamton hosts the St. John's IceCaps .
