The Binghamton Rumble Ponies want to bring the Eastern League All-Star Game to NYSEG Stadium.  Rumble Ponies' owner John Hughes made that announcement at an afternoon press conference at the ball park on Friday.

Hughes invited fans, business leaders and elected officials to the event.  This year's All-Star Game is in Manchester, New Hampshire and the 2018 All-Star Game is set for Trenton. That means that the first opening for the game would be the summer of 2019,

Hughes says he and team officials will make a formal presentation to the Eastern League at this year's event.  The Eastern League President and officials will make the recommendation of their choice of sites and then forward their choice to Minor League Baseball for their approval.  The Binghamton Mets hosted the Double-A All-Star Game in 1994.

The Rumble Ponies are asking fans to show their interest and support by using social media including emailing the league at elpb@easternleague.com and by using Twitter with the hashtag #BingItHome (@Eastern League).  Fans have until this year's All-Star Game on July 12 to utilize social media.
