With the Eastern League 2016 season approaching the end of the first month of play a team that has not played a home game yet has the best record in either Division.  The Hartford Yard Goats, the affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, has jumped out to a 15-4 record.  With their stadium in Hartford not ready to open until the second week of May the Yard Goats have played all 19 of their games on the road.  They have been designated as the home team where appropriated on the schedule but all games have been in someone else's home stadium.

After Hartford, Reading and Trenton are fighting it out for second place. The Fightin' Phils are 12-7 while the Thunder stands at 12-8.  Binghamton is in fourth place at 8-9 going into Wednesday night's action.

In the West the Akron RubberDucks lead the pack with a 12-7 slate.  Altoona and Erie are tied for second place at  9-10.  The Bowie Baysox are fourth with a slate of 8-11.
