Downtown Binghamton Damage Investigated

City of Binghamton Police are investigating thousands of dollars worth of damage in a couple incidents downtown this week.

Early February 19, it was discovered that several side mirrors had been destroyed on vehicles parked in the first basement level of the State Street Parking Garage, including many business and government vehicles.

The lower levels of the parking garage were blocked off for the investigation.

Police also report damage again to the downtown roundabout at Court, Exchange and Chenango Streets.

Officials say they believe that the planters and other fixtures were destroyed or damaged by a vehicle sometime on Wednesday, February 17.
