The Binghamton Bearcats hope to build from their 76-72 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday as they visit Newark, New Jersey out of the ASUN Conference.  It is the first visit for the Bearcats to NJIT's home, the Wellness and Events Center.  The teams have met twice before with the Highlanders winning both.  The more recent meeting was last season at BU's Events Center when the Highlanders won 74-57.

The Bearcats are 1-3 with the first win last weekend over Sacred Heart.  Sam Sessoms led all scorers with 27 points.  Sessoms is Binghamton's top scorer averaging 17 points per game.

The Highlanders are 2-2 with wins over Cornell and Wagner.  Their two losses were to Providence and Colgate. NJIT is paced by Zach Cooks, a Preseason All-ASUN pick.  He is averaging 22 points per game was was named the ASUN Conference Player of the Week for his past week's play.

Airtime for tonight's game at NJIT is 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  The Bearcats return home to host Army on Saturday at 4:00 PM.  BU's wrestlng team hosts nationally-ranked NC State immediately after the basketball game at the Events Center.
