The Binghamton Bearcats men's and women's basketball teams welcomed their season ticket holders with a reception at the Events Center on Thursday evening.  Players from both teams along with their coaches were introduced to fans on hand.  The event is held to enable season ticket holders to pick up their tickets and meet players and coaches during the evening.

Binghamton's women's team has six newcomers on the roster.  After the team was introduced Kai Moon, Annie Ramil and Zahra Barnes answered questions and gave their thoughts on how their team was shaping up.

The Binghamton men's team has made major changes with 10 new players.  The team will be keyed by sophomore Sam Sessoms who averaged over 17 points per game last season and was named Rookie of the Year in America East.  Sessoms and Pierre Sarr who transferred from Monmouth University, addressed the fans and answered questions about the season ahead.

Women's head coach Bethann Shapiro Ord and Men's head coach Tommy Dempsey capped off the evening with a question and answer segment and a season preview.

The BU women's team opens play next Friday, November 1 at the Events Center at 7:00 PM with a game versus LeMoyne College.  The men start their season on Tuesday, November 5 with a trip to Ithaca to meet the Cornell Big Red.  Both men's and women's games will be aired on News Radio 1290 WNBF and on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM when the teams play at the same time.
