In one start last week in Harrisburg Gonzalez went 6.2 innings and gave up just two walks and no hits and no runs.  He combined with Ryder Ryan who pitched the final 2.1 innings to throw a no-hitter.  It was the first franchise no-hitter since 2006.

In the six plus innings worked by Gonzalez he lowered his season ERA to 2.88 and with the win upped his record to 3-0. Gonzalez was signed by the New York Mets as a non-drafted free agent on March 26, 2014. He is a native of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

The Rumble Ponies were rained out in their series finale against New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. That game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday August 13 with the first pitch is set for 5:35 P.M.
