You get the feeling that the Binghamton Rumble Ponies need to give every player and staff member one of the pagers you get when you wait in line at a busy restaurant and it goes off when your turn comes up..  With those devices they can summon the players to NYSEG Stadium or other stadiums around the Eastern League any time there is a four or five hour window with no rain so they can get the chance to play.

On Sunday afternoon the Rumble Ponies and Portland Sea Dogs got the first game of their doubleheader completed before storms and rain postponed their second game of the day.  They were attempting to make-up.another rainout from Saturday night.  This has been the way this spring has gone for the Rumble Ponies and the Eastern League.  You know it is tough when you get a rainout of an attempted rainout make good.

In the game that was played Portland came from behind to top the Rumble Ponies 6-5.  Joseph Shaw took the loss in relief.  Binghamton falls to 30-21.  Portland ups it record to 19-34.  Binghamton has an off day on Monday and travels to Harrisburg for a three-game series beginning Tuesday at 6:30 (air at 6:15 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
