The Stony Brook Seawolves exploded in the second half to defeat the Binghamton Bearcats 77-66 Thursday night at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena  on Long Island.  The Bearcats led for over 15 minutes of the opening half only to trail by a point...36-35 at halftime.  But the Seawolves thwarted Binghamton's comeback efforts by outscoring the Bearcats 41-31 in the second half to secure the win.

Binghamton was plagued by poor three-point shooting in the second half when the Bearcats made just three long-range shots in 16 attempts.  Forward Bobby Ahearn and guard J.C. Show were the only Bearcats with more than one three-point make...each scoring three treys.

With the win the Seawolves up their conference record to 3-2. Binghamton falls to 1-4.  Next up for the Bearcats is a home game on Sunday at 2 PM versus UMass Lowell.  The game will be broadcast as part of a Bearcat doubleheader beginning with coverage of the BU women's game at Lowell at 11:45 AM.
