The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team hosts the Hartford Hawks today (Saturday) at 4 PM at the Events Center. It is Senior Day with pregame ceremonies honoring Binghamton's seven senior men's basketball student athletes.

Seniors who will be honored include:  Willie Rodriguez, Bobby Ahearn, Dusan Perovic, Jordan McRae, John Schurman, Yosef Yacob and Justin McFaddon.

The Bearcats still are holding on to a chance to make the America East Postseason Tournament.  Binghamton needs to win today and the regular season finale in Albany on Tuesday night.  BU is 2-12 in America East.  The Maine Black Bears are 3-11 and are the only team Binghamton can catch.  Maine meets Albany tonight (Saturday) in Albany and hosts Vermont on Tuesday night to close the regular campaign. Should the teams end with identical conference records Maine would get the playoff spot via sweeping the two games played against Binghamton this season.

In the first meeting with Hartford this season the Hawks rolled to a 97-65 victory.  Hartford went 18-23 from three-point range and were led by 34 points from Travis Weatherington including ten three-point baskets.  He was 6-6 from three-point range in the first half.

Binghamton is paced by J.C. Show who is averaging 14 points per game.  Thomas Bruce is also scoring in double figures averaging 11.3 points per contest.

Today's game can be heard on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Coverage begins at 3:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
