Rumble Ponies Look to Quiet Thunder at NYSEG Stadium

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies meet the Trenton Thunder in the final game of a three-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Tonight is the rubber game of the series.  After the Rumble Ponies won the series opener Trenton countered with a 7-2 win on Wednesday night.  In ten overall meetings so far this season the teams are even with each team posting five victories.  Tonight's game is scheduled for a 6:35 start with air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

Both the Rumble Ponies and Thunder are in the hunt for the top spot in the Eastern League's Eastern Division.  Heading into Thursday night's action Trenton holds the top spot  with a one-half game lead over second place Hartford.  In third place Reading is one game in back of the Thunder followed by Binghamton one and one-half games back.  Four teams within one and one-half games of first place !

Following tonight's game the Rumble Ponies remain home for a weekend series against the Altoona Curve.  The Curve will in town for a 7:05 game on Friday, a 6:35 game on Saturday and a 2:05 game on Sunday as the Rumble Ponies celebrate Father's Day.
