The Southern Tier continues to battle wet weather issues and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are right in the middle of it.  Another Rumble Ponies game had to be postponed due to inclement weather this (Sunday) afternoon.  The Ponies were scheduled to meet the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in a 2:05 game but a steady rain and a forecast of more rain into the evening forced the game to be postponed.  Today's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 1st beginning at 5:35 P.M.

Today's rainout is the fifth weather-related postponement of the young season.  The Rumble Ponies made-up one of those KO'd games with a twinbill on Saturday. This was the second rainout of this weekend's four-game series against the Fisher Cats.

Besides the postponements bitterly cold temperatures have also plagued the opening weeks of the season.  Three rainouts have occurred at home and two on the road.

The Rumble Ponies head to Hartford to begin a three-game series on Monday night.  First pitch is 7:05 with air on News Radio 1290 WNBFat 6:50 P.M.
