Power Out in Northern Broome, Chenango and Cortland Counties

New York State Electric and Gas is reporting some 1,386 Broome County customers without power.

According to the NYSEG outage website, customers in northern Broome and parts of Chenango and Cortland Counties were without power February 5 with restoration anticipated at around 10:30 a.m.

There is no reason for the service interruption available on the website and Broome County Emergency Services officials said they were aware there was a problem but had no information about anything that would have caused the power to go out.

In Broome County the hardest-hit area was the Town of Triangle with 800 customers reported without power as of 7:50 a.m.  State Routes, 26 and 206, Yarns Road and Page Brook Road had the largest numbers on the list
