New York State Electric and Gas is reporting over 2,500 customers in Broome County without power as of 8 a.m. October 24.

Broome County government offices located in the former Sears the former Oakdale Mall were delayed opening until 10 a.m. October 6 due to a power issue.

No major transportation issues are being reported following a day-long rain in the region.

Power was reported still out to some NYSEG customers in Chenango County and Tioga County early August 5.

Farewell and thank you to hundreds of utility workers who helped get power back on to tens of thousands of Twin Tiers residents impacted by the heavy snow.

Four days after it was issued, Broome County has lifted the State of Emergency put in place following a late season winter storm April 18-19.

Wet snow is hampering travel, there are numerous reports of trees and wires down across roadways and on homes and thousands of power interruptions.

New York State Electric and Gas is reporting 77 customers in the City of Binghamton without power to start March 28.

Visibility and freezing on roadways can be a concern as wide areas of fog and below freezing temperatures grip the entire region.
