One Northern Tier Pennsylvania County Gets the Reopening Green Light
Just south of Owego in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, diners will be able to sit down inside their favorite restaurant May 29 for the first time in two months.
Governor Tom Wolf may announced Bradford and 16 other counties will go to the green stage, allowing businesses to reopen with 50 percent occupancy restrictions and health and safety requirements.
Restaurants and bars will be kept at 50 percent capacity. Hair salons and personal care service will have to be by appointment and entertaining and indoor recreation will be allowed to open at half-capacity.
The Governor May 24 also allowed houses of worship in some parts of Pennsylvania to open to parishioners.
Susquehanna County was just allowed to move to the yellow phase, allowing some limited retail and curb-side pickup.
Pennsylvania has seen a total of 68,186 positive coronavirus cases with 5,764 Pennsylvania lives lost to the pandemic.
Bradford County has had 44 cases and three deaths, Susquehanna County reports 96 cases with 15 deaths linked to nursing homes and Wayne County was listed with 118 positive COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths.
