NYSEG reminds customers they can use the new mobile app to report and check on the status of outages. Search "AVANGRID" in the Apple or Android app stores and select NYSEG for the free download. They can also check online at www.nyseg.com/outagecentral.

Meanwhile, residents should keep supplies of drinking water and non-perishable foods on hand, make sure phones, tablets and other mobile devices are fully charged, keep battery-operated flash lights and radios on hand and fill vehicle fuel tanks.

NYSEG has been dispatching additional line and tree resources crews ahead of the storm to areas expected to be hardest hit.

NYSEG customers should call 1.800.572.1131 to report downed power lines or other hazardous situations.
