One of the most popular radio personalities in Binghamton broadcasting history has passed away.  Ted Baer, WNBF Morning Show host in the mid and late 1970's and early 80's, passed away Monday night in Danville, Illinois at the age of 76.

Baer's humor and conversation earned him top ratings as the host of his early morning radio show during the years the station was owned by Stoner Broadcasting.  He teamed up with morning news anchor Bernard Fionte to rule morning ratings and advertising revenue during his stint in the AM Drive time slot.

Baer left WNBF along with news anchor Carl Wall to join WENE in their morning drive program.  Following several years there Baer ended up retiring from radio and returned to his home area in the midwest. He owned and operated a clock repair show in Danville, Illinois for a number of years.

Baer was also a talented musician and singer.  He performed at the Forum with the B. C. Pops and also entertained in night clubs around the area.
