Amphenol Hiring Dozens for New Endicott Operation

More jobs will be coming to the Huron Campus in Endicott for a new Amphenol Corporation site.

Amphenol Military High Speed now has more than 30 employees at the space in what originally was IBM Building 258 near Oak Hill Avenue and Clark Street.

General manager Jared Sibrava said factory operations at the site are expected to get underway in the next few weeks.

He said his Amphenol unit specializes in high-speed copper and fiber optics, along with next-generation electronics. Its customers are primarily in the military and commercial aerospace markets.

The offices at the Endicott location were set up last spring. Construction is continuing on the manufacturing area at the site.

Sibrava said the company is hiring people for engineering, marketing, operations and manufacturing jobs. He expects between 80 and 90 employees eventually will be working at the Huron location.

The Huron Campus is owned by Phoenix Investors of Milwaukee. The former manufacturing complex in Endicott is considered "The Birthplace of IBM."
