Endicott Senior Living Complex Marks 25th Anniversary
It's been a quarter of a century since a Broome County hospital was transformed into a senior living campus.
The facility on High Avenue in Endicott opened as the Ideal Senior Living Center in August 1990. It's now known as UHS Senior Living at Ideal.
The project became a reality after several years of planning and development work.
The old Ideal Hospital and its administration building were renovated and a new building was constructed across the street.
The campus offers several levels of care. It includes independent living apartments, an adult care facility and a skilled nursing facility.
An anniversary celebration was held on August 1.
