Village police were called to 10 Washington Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the attack happened in an apartment of the three-story commercial and residential building.

The injured man was taken by a Union Volunteer Emergency Squad ambulance to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City. His condition was not known but police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Detectives say 20-year-old Sky Davis was charged with second-degree assault. She was taken into custody at the scene.

Police say the knife used to stab the 28-year-old man was recovered by investigators.

Davis was arraigned in Endicott village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.

The commercial storefront of the Washington Avenue building is vacant. Broome County property records indicate the structure has as many as 25 rental rooms.

The building is located near the Huron Campus, which is home to Endicott's biggest employers, including BAE Systems.

Police Chief Patrick Garey has said addressing crime problems in the area of the Huron Campus is one of the department's top priorities.
