Emergency Energy Assistance Available

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Low income residents in the region have a chance to get a little help paying their utility bills.

New York State Electric and Gas says Dominion Transmission has donated $100,000 to the Project SHARE Heating Fund and the Avangrid Foundation has provided $400,000 to HeartShare Human Services of New York to support the Project SHARE fund.

Customers and employees of NYSEG and Rochester Gas and Electric have also donated $155,000 over the past year.

Families facing an energy crisis, having exhausted all other funding options can be given an emergency assistance grant.
