The Binghamton Bearcats hosted the Cornell Big Red last (Wednesday) night in the first ever night baseball game played on the Binghamton University campus.  Major upgrades were done over the winter after an anonymous donor provided a 2.2 million dollar grant to the baseball program for stadium improvements.  Those upgrades included the installation of lights and a field turf playing surface.

The Big Red halted Binghamton's seven-game winning streak with a 10-2 victory.  Cornell defeated the Bearcats in Ithaca earlier this season 6-4 as well.

Former Maine-Endwell standout Kyle Gallagher started in right field for the Big Red and went 1-5 with a double.  Cornell ups its record to 19-15 while the Bearcats are now 20-8.  Binghamton remains home to host Central Connecticut State this weekend. The teams play a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
