Two Twin Tiers men are accused of stealing items from a construction lot at Upper Front Street and the Route 81 South Exit 5 on-ramp.

A Broome County Sheriff’s Deputy saw a vehicle pulling out of the lot at 11:51 p.m. December 18 and stopped the vehicle since it was suspicious for anyone to be in that area at that hour.

35 year old Donald House III of Endicott and 32 year old Jacob Gonzalez of New Milford are charged with criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglar tools.

Authorities say they found locks on several storage trailers in the construction area had been cut off and bolt cutters were found as well as tools and equipment in House and Gonzalez’s vehicle.

Investigators say due to the large number of items identified as being from the construction yard in the vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office impounded the vehicle as the investigation continues.

Both House and Gonzalez were sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
