Binghamton Man Stopped in Driving Lane Arrested for DWAI
Broome County Sheriff’s officials say a Binghamton man is accused of driving an uninspected heavy vehicle while ability impaired by an unknown substance.
Deputies responded to a report of a Volvo tractor trailer cab stopped in a travel lane of Upper Front Street in the Town of Dickinson shortly at 8:05 a.m. April 7 and found 54-year-old Sircurtis King in the driver’s seat with his eyes closed, rocking back and forth.
A field sobriety test was administered and King was arrested under suspicion of driving while his ability was impaired.
He’s charged with DWAI and was ticketed for an uninspected heavy vehicle and stopping or standing in a roadway. The Volvo tractor was towed from the scene and King was ordered to appear in Town of Dickinson Court at a later date.
