This is an exciting step as we get closer to transforming Clinton Street and tapping into its potential. Thanks to all who served on the Local Planning Committee for investing so much time and effort into the future of the Clinton Street corridor these last several months and to all the community members who contributed with public input. I encourage residents to attend this week’s public meeting and community celebration, where the LPC will present their final recommendations. - City of Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham
After hosting six meetings, two public workshops, several pop-up and online feedback opportunities, and Q&A sessions with project sponsors, 22 projects were advanced by the Local Planning Committee, requesting just over $13 million in DRI grant funding to New York State for review, which will select up to $10 million of projects from the list for funding.
The awards are expected to be announced in the spring of 2026, according to Mayor Kraham's announcement. The Local Planning Committee includes residents, small business owners, community leaders, and government officials.
