A Candor man is to be sentenced in April after pleading guilty to seven counts in the attempted murder of another man.

Prosecutors say 22 year old Jordan Stevens choked Justin Wilcox outside the Methodist Church in Candor on May 22, 2016, pushed him out of his car when he lost consciousness, jumped on his head as he lay on the ground and drove his car over him twice.

The Candor man is accused of stealing the victim’s wallet, cell phone and even his sneakers.

Wilcox ended up hospitalized in critical condition.

Stevens pleaded guilty to attempted murder, assault, strangulation, grand larceny and two counts of tampering with evidence as well as misdemeanor petit larceny.

Stevens faces up to 25 years in prison on just the attempted murder charge.
