The Sheriff's office says a Ford Focus, apparently stolen from Fillmore Avenue, plowed into the corner of the house on Maple Streets at North Grippen Street at around 8:30 p.m.

The vehicle had been reported to be traveling at a high rate of speed on Nanticoke Avenue shortly before crashing into the house.  No one in the home was hurt.

The driver fled the scene on foot.

The extent of the damage to the house was unavailable.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broome County Sheriff's Investigators at (607) 778-1911.
