Broome County Man Dies in Jefferson County Snowmobile Crash

An Endicott man is dead following a snowmobile accident in the North Country.

New York State Police in Jefferson County say 50 year old David Toton was riding an Arctic Cat at a high rate of speed on Mile Strip Trail in the Town of Worth at around 8 p.m. March 19 when he failed to negotiate a turn, left the trail, hit a tree and was ejected from the machine.

Toton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities say their investigation is continuing.
