Broome County Starts Construction on Endicott Dog Park
Work is underway on a long-awaited dog park at Grippen Community Park in Endicott.
Broome County Executive Jason Garnar last February said plans were being developed for the canine recreational facility.
The dog park will be an added amenity to Grippen Park, where a $4.3 million improvement project was recently completed.

On Wednesday, Garnar said construction of the new facility is expected to be completed in November.
Money for the $80,000 project is coming from some of the county's last remaining ARPA funds. Most of the project cost is for fencing. The facility also will include an asphalt entrance pad, along with benches, trees and signage.

The dog park will have sections designated for large and small animals.
Broome County legislator Greg Baldwin, who lives near Grippen Park, said the new facility will be "a great addition" to Grippen Community Park.
