The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team is in New Hampshire tonight for a 7 PM tip-off against the Wildcats in Durham (airtime is 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  BU is hoping for a season sweep.  The Bearcats handed New Hampshire a 67-38 drubbing when they met at the Events Center on January 9th.  Nick Madray was the main man for BU scoring 21 points and going 8-9 from the floor.

A big difference tonight will be the absence of Madray who is expected to miss the last part of the season with a hip injury.  With Madray sidelined sophomore standout Jordan Reed has been on fire notching two consecutive double-doubles and earning America East Player of the Week honors for the past week averaging 21.5 points per game and 15.5 rebounds.  Another standout for the Bearcats in Saturday's win over Maine was senior forward Roland Brown.  Brown had his biggest offensive game in a BU uniform scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds to key Binghamton's inside game.

In the first meeting between the two teams this season center Chris Pelcher played just 11 minutes and did not score.  He was still nursing a lower leg injury in that outing.  But Pelcher is healthy and playing well emerging as one of the top big men in the conference again.  He is averaging 11.8 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game.  New Hampshire defeated Stony Brook last weekend 73-69 on Long Island.  In that game Pelcher scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Coming into tonight's game BU is 2-9 in America East.  New Hampshire is 4-6.  Following tonight's game the Bearcats are idle until next Wednesday when they host Albany at 7 PM at the Events Center.
