Woman Accused of Taking Forgotten Wallet in Colesville

A Nineveh woman is accused of helping herself to a wallet that someone left behind at a Colesville gas station.

New York State Police say 35 year old Jessica Febescey was arrested February 7 after investigators determined that a wallet was stolen from the Mirabito gas station on State Route 79 on January 8.

Authorities say they believe Febescey took the wallet at around 3:30 in the afternoon after it had been left behind by another customer.

Troopers said several other customers had walked by the wallet.

Febescey is charged with petit larceny.
