Vestal Parkway Repaving Project Resumes

Construction crews are doing nighttime work on a section of Route 434 between the Binghamton city line and Bunn Hill Road.

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]According to the New York State Department of Transportation, pavement repair operations will be done between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Drivers will encounter alternating lane closures in the work zone. Motorists also should expect rough road conditions during the project.

DOT spokesman David Hamburg said the work is scheduled to continue through June 15.

The initial phase of the $7.1 million project began last August with resurfacing from the Tioga County line to the Main Street intersection in Vestal.
