Authorities say 27-year-old Alexander Parsons of Johnson City was charged with two counts of criminal mischief. He also was charged with discharging an air rifle within village limits and making a false written statement.

Detectives say 23-year-old David Seward of Johnson City was charged with making a false written statement.

Police say they were called to Endicott Avenue around 8:35 p.m. on November 18 to investigate damage caused by a BB gun.

Investigators say both men made written statements implicating another man in the incident.

Detectives later determined Parsons had fired an air rifle that caused the damage.

Parsons and Seward were ordered to appear in village court on December 2.
