Officials are investigating the cause of a two-alarm house fire in the Town of Chenango that has displaced the resident and their dog.

Broome County Emergency Services officials say fire crews from numerous departments were called to the home on West Chenango Road in the Town of Chenango at around 10:45 p.m. August 4 and remained on the scene for about four-and-a-half hours.

There were no injuries.

Officials say the Southern Tier Chapter of the American Red Cross was called in to assist the resident of the home.
