Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 27-year-old Christopher Warren is charged with felony robbery and other counts after allegedly getting into an argument outside a restaurant on Upper Front Street shortly after 5 p.m. January 17 where he had met the other person that was supposed to be involved in the deal.

According to investigators, somebody apparently tried to pay for the advertised property with a fake $100 bill and the argument ensued.

The victim was shoved to the ground and was dragged by the vehicle attempting to leave the scene.  He was dragged between five and ten feet and suffered minor injuries.  His cell phone was also damaged.

The suspect left the scene, but Deputies tracked down Warren at his home on Route 12 where the stolen property was recovered.

In addition to robbery, Warren is charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, and felony criminal possession of a forged instrument.
